About the Internship:

As an intern on the data science team, you’d be involved in all aspects of our analytics, quantitative research, model development, and data pipeline. On any given day, you might be working with our staff to build a model to find swing voters, cleaning data for our political team’s analysis, or querying our database to understand a data pattern.

About You:

  • Some internship or class experience with Python, R, SQL, or similar languages

  • Pursuing a degree with strong training in math and statistics, and with some class or internship experience with statistics, machine learning, or econometrics.

  • Humility and openness to a variety of tasks. We work smart, but sometimes you have to work long, tiresome hours on unexpected things -- all in the pursuit of bettering our Democracy.

  • A passion for politics. An appreciation of political satire is required.

  • A strong attention to detail and the ability to think strategically and creatively

Compensation and work environment:  

We offer a workplace that is both casual and professional, and a culture that is committed to learning, fun, and excellence. Our internship is full-time and paid hourly or through a stipend, and interns are eligible for overtime compensation. School credit is also available.
